All About Spin

NOTE : I talked about my pregnancy and postpartum fitness journey in this blog post. If you know me or follow me on social media, you know I LOVE to exercise. I'm a competitive person so I love the challenge and the way I feel after a workout, not so much during the workout lol. I personally have never liked weight or strength training, I'm definitely a cardio girl at heart. I took my first spin class at the gym sometime around May-ish and I immediately fell in love. When I workout I want maximize my time, I am not one to linger at the gym talking or piddle around barely sweating on a machine. I want to work out as hard as I can go for a shorter amount of time, usually 30-45 minutes, so spin was the perfect answer and combined cardio, strength, good length of time and maximum effort all in one. Healthy & Quick Toddler Food

Feeding a baby/toddler can be challenging sometimes based on their pickiness, trying to make sure it's healthy, and also quick/easy to prepare. When Eli was eating baby food, I made it all myself with our smoothie blender. Honestly, it really wasn't that difficult because I would make large batches then freeze individual size portions. He used to not be a picky eater, he would eat literally anything I gave him and then slowly over time he got a little pickier each month until BAM I now have a picky eater on my hands (* sigh *). Honestly, the only "fights" he and I have on a daily basis are over food because I'm determined to make him eat somewhat healthy and his little taste buds change daily. For example, Monday I bought him some blueberries and gave them to him for dinner. He ate literally half the container he loved them so much. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I offered them to him again throughout the day and he has refused to eat them. So strange!...

Mommyhood Fitness Journey

This is one of my favorite topics, fitness! I have loved being active since the day I was born, sitting still just isn't my thing. From gymnastics to sports to working out, whatever keeps me active is a plus. I was at my peak fitness right before getting pregnant with Eli, I was working out sometimes two times a day at least 5 days a week. Being real with you, the reason I went to the gym so much was because I worked from home and my hubby was working and getting his masters so I needed some time away from the house and the gym helped with that. When I got pregnant with Eli, the first trimester I was sick a lot so I didn't work out as much but as soon as I hit that second trimester bliss it was on.
